It is with great pleasure that Asians Against Domestic Abuse (AADA) invites you to a celebration for 18 years of service to the community. The festivities will take place on Friday, October 25th at the Ballroom at Bayou Place and will include dinner and dancing, silent and live auctions and more.
The goal of AADA is to empower women who trace their heritage back to Greater Asia who reside in Houston, TX and neighboring counties. AADA has seen an increase in domestic abuse against refugee women who have come from war torn countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Myanmar (Burma), Libya and Syria. The majority of AADA’s clients are low-income women and their children escaping difficult domestic situations.
To this purpose, AADA believes violence is a barrier and an important factor in the disempowerment of women. AADA aims to provide its victims with holistic services that will help and guide them to rebuild their lives independently, by permanently finding a safe solution for them through financial assistance, resources, advocacy, safety planning and outreach.
We hope that you will support us so that we can continue providing the services of rebuilding lives. Your contribution will help us to continue providing safety and advocacy to battered women and their children, through the various assistance programs.
