Crime Victims’ Compensation
If you are a victim of a crime, you may be eligible for financial assistance through the Crime Victims’ Compensation program. This support may help cover certain expenses related to the crime. Contact us to learn more and find out if you may qualify.

Steps to safety if you’re not ready to leave
Call 911 if you feel unsafe, show them any injuries and be certain they make a report
Memorize the number of a women’s shelter
Keep an extra set of car and house keys
Take pictures and gather evidence and legal documents
During an argument, try to stay in a room with an exit and one without weapons
Start your own savings account
Keep a packed bag in a safe place that has copies of important papers (drivers license, passports, immigration papers, green cards, birth certificates) and some clothes

Explore your legal options: divorce, custody, protective orders, immigration status, low-cost legal help is available – you may not have to depend on your husband for immigration status
